THE SHOPPING DIET!! or even a fast, actually!! that is going to last 2 whole months!!
it's like the 2 consecutive shopping ramadans !!
why, u may ask?
well, it's because i spent all our money on clothes, shoes, bags, scarves, jewelry, and other stuff i can't remember right now, but i'm pretty sure that the shiny magazine told me to get them...
when u have a joint bank account - at first you think - "hey, i got twice more money to spend now!!", but actually this is not the case. what happens is that u sit down one afternoon and count all the money u spend, and see that while ur husband pays for gas, rent and electricity, u pay for more meaninfull stuff, like those amazing dark grey boots i've been fantasizing about.....
so now i cant get anything.. till february..
hmmmm....
my bday is in february.... wink-wink....
(gift cards are a great present.. also, dark grey boots are a great present.. also, a few therapy sessions for my addiction - are a great present :))))

unbelievable..
seems only yesterday i was pinching his cute little cheek and he hated it and slapped me....
oh the sweet memories...
so on friday we went out to celebrate the joyful occasion.
since we were in the negev, restaurant choices became very (VERY) limited. and since my grandparents were attending, the list of standards to bet met grew exponentially.
so we're back at armonim. they know me by name i think. i like this place, it's very cute, the service is good, food also. somehow i always manage to stuff myself with first course and then "suffer" (yeah, right) through the rest of the meal :)
grandma and grandpa of course were unpleased, but less than usual, as it seemed. some problem with undercooked meat (that was medium-well, btw).. oh well..
all in all it was a very nice evening, with good food, good wine and great company :)

Idan thinks TVs are evil, and should be banned
I like watching "Ramzor"... but I never get to see it on time so we just get it from the V.O.D.
after a close examination we came to a conclusion that it is a bit INSANE to pay 280 nis a month for the privilege of being able to pay a bit more for a show on V.O.D.
so we're disconnecting.
the problem is, i don't know what to put there... where the TV used to be... on the cabinet.. maybe a vase? a lamp? bowl of fruit?
damn it...

that jack bauer is a really fucking special agent.. nothing he can't do. u give him an impossible task, he completes it in 24 hours (or less). amazing...
tried to go to the office on wednesday. got there. tried to work for about two hours. it was kinda hard cause i kept sneezing all the time.. and then i felt like crap and had to go back home
on the bright side:
1) the chicken soup is getting better, this time it was really good :)
2) LOTS of sleep!!! lovin it!!
3) "oh, i'm so sick... can u get me some tea /soup /chocolate /tissues /that amazing light-purple purse i saw in the mall /give me a foot massage /sing a lullaby ?"
just FYI - i'm all better now. almost no sneezing whatsoever :)

идан: жила-была одна девочка. она себя плохо вела, и папа ее отшлепал ремнем (рассказывается с явным намеком :)
я: ну ничего себе сказочка...
идан: ага, а потом эту девочку съел злой волк!
я: ужас!!! хочу добрую сказку! про фею в розовом!
идан: хорошо. жил был мальчик, он был голубой, пришла к нему фея в розовом, и они жили, поживали, и геморрой наживали...

идан: жил был медвежонок. он был добрый и хороший. и у него была мама. он ее очень любил. а папы у него не было, потому-что его зверски убили охотники....

it took about a week, and i didnt finish it :)
so friday was the 2nd (or the 10th?) attempt to watch this movie. the extended edition!!!
well, i did it !!!!! i watched the entire thing!! and it was actually pretty good.
here are some things i was not so happy with:
1) gandalf (the grey !! :)) is supposed to be this great wizard.. so why doesnt he do ANYTHING??? huh ???
they are fighting these disgusting slimy orcs, and he doesnt do anything... they just kinda throw stuff at them.. the most magic i saw him do was the fireworks for the hobbit-children, and that ship he made out of smoke.. disappointing..
the "u shall not pass!!" thing got him
i wanted to see some cool turn-orc-into-a-frog tricks!!!
2) the orcs are scary but they are also very disgusting. it only makes u wanna kill them even more. i'm not sure it's a good strategy - to make them this disgusting. psychological-warfare-wise :)
3) they killed boromir ?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!? how dare they ?!?!?!?! he's HOT and i want him back !!!!

we enjoyed it a lot!!
we had the beets-and-cheese salad which was very good (it had sweetened pecans in it :), 2 glass of australian wine (smooth :) loved it ) and 2 small pizzas.
everything was delicious, the service was great

almost forgot!!!
the dessert was sooo good!! we had the "espresso-panacota" - which is like a regular panacota, only espresso flavoured and that makes it so much better.
we'll definitely come back.

אוירה נחמדה, שיחה קולחת (תגיד, תלית כביסה? מחר אני צריכה לדבר עם הבנק..)
וכל יום שלישי הולכים למסעדה אחרת. לפי החישוב מהיר - אני אכיר 52 מסעדות חדשות בשיטה הזו בעוד שנה :)
אז אתמול הלכנו ל"מסעדת הקומה ה-11" שממוקמת באחד ממגדלי עזריאלי במלון קראון פלזה.
עידן הזמין מקומות אחרי שקרא תגובות חיוביות באחד האתרים.

אז המסעדה נראית כמו החדר אוכל של המלון.. נכון, העיצוב יותר מתוחכם, אבל יש הרגשה של חדר אוכל מסיבה כלשהי... אולי זה בגלל הקהל? מבקרים ומבקרות ממערב (אבל ממש מערב) אירופה (כי אני מנסה להיות פוליטיקלי קורקט :) הלבושים בבגדים צעקניים.. קצת אובר-קולניים, קצת אנדר-מחונכים...
היה מארח חמוד בכניסה ששאל "hebrew or english?"
התיישבנו וחיכינו כרבע שעה לתפריטים. המלצרים והמארח התנצלו כל הזמן ואמרו שהתפריטים כבר בדרך (?!?!?WTF בדרך מאיפה?!?!?) ובתור פיצוי קיבלנו 2 כוסות מים, ותפריט יינות.
אחרי שלמדתי בע"פ את תפריט היינות וכבר הייתי מוכנה להתחיל לאכול את המפה (דיאטה, רבותיי!!) הגיע מלצר חמוד ומקסים ומדהים והגיבור שלי עם התפריט!!! (הייתי ממש מוכנה להתחתן איתו כבר בשלב הזה!!)
הזמנו יין וקרפצ'ו ופילה בקר.
המלצר כמעט שבר את בקבוק היין בנסיונות נואשים להוציא את הפקק. כל התהליך לקח לו כ-7 דקות תמימות. לפחות הוא היה די חמוד, אז לא היה אכפת לי :)
היין היה טוב, האוכל טעים, אבל לא מדהים.
בסוף הארוחה פינקו אותנו בקוקטייל בננה-משהו. לא ממש אהבתי, אבל יפה מצידם :)
רק שנינו.

i have that thing that is supposed to make it smell better. it's supposed to smell like "sea breeze" or something. instead, my car smells like i am the mafia hitman..
ok,ok, so it's time for a bath. only i'm not sure a simple bath is gonna cut it. i think the car might need a scrub too.
apparently, there is such a thing as a car spa! genius! i called them and they open at 7am. cool !!
i wonder if they can give me a massage while i'm waiting.... hmmmm......
so i get up early in the morning, to make it to the car spa before work. and as i drive there my car starts making very very weird noises.
so i take it to the mechanic instead :(
and they said "bolem zaazuim ahori" was broken but it only comes in sets of two
so they replaced both of them
and then they said it's time for "tipul"
so they did that too
and then they called me about some torn rubber thing in the wheel
so that too..
all in all - the whole thing costs almost 2000 nis
instead of 75 for a car wash i was planning initially ...
so... no new shoes till pay-day?
